Sarangworld Traceroute Project Known Hostname Codes
Below is a list of codes and IP addresses I can translate into city names with
latitudes and longitudes (for mapping purposes). The list is nowhere
near complete, and sometimes reflects a "best guess" on my part. For
example, I guessed the "EWR" stood for "Newark, NJ, USA", because EWR
is the airport code for that airport in that city. It's possible some
of my guesses are wrong (as another example, I guessed "lnmtco" stood
for "Longmont, Colorado, USA" because CO is the state code for
Colorado and Longmont is the largest city in Colorado that could
conceivably be abbreviated "lnmt"-- but, as you can see, that's a bit
of a longshot). As a final note, "ana" translates to "Anaheim, CA,
USA" because the ISP using that code actually gave me this
translation (plus a few others). IP address data is primarily from APNIC.
