This page is dedicate to nitpicks of printed media only, and not to (for example), movies or television.
The best way to read my guides is with a copy of the nitpicked book in your hand; it probably won't make much sense otherwise. Page numbers are from copies I have; while these are usually pretty normal, in some cases I have compendiums or other weird editions, making numbering unusual. These guides are a work in progress: not all nitpicks are covered, and not all books in a series are necessarily covered. Some of the nitpicks are closer to "did you notice" than to nitpicks; some of my comments are simply questions and not nitpicks at all; a few nitpicks are comments to myself I accidentally left in. These guides contain "spoilers"; if you haven't read the book, the guides will reveal many plot points, which may ruin your later enjoyment of the book. My writing style in these guides tends to mimic Phil Farrand's (author of printed nitpickers' guides on Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation).
Please feel free to link the Unofficial Nitpickers' Home Page (or, for that matter, any of my pages) to your page; if your page will generate unusually heavy traffic, though, please warn me in advance.
In addition to submitting corrections, additions, and suggestions, I would welcome help from anyone who wishes to translate page numbers between different editions/printings, and/or pretty up the HTML on these pages, which are currently mostly text-based.
Contributions are welcome, and I will make a reasonable effort to credit contributions (please include your name, and optionally your email address and home page, if you want credit). If you already have a nearly complete guide, instead of submitting it, put it on your home page, and I will be happy to link it. If you submit nitpicks to me, even though I will attempt to credit you, please keep in mind it will come under the category of "Nitpickers' Guides Maintained By Me". I will try to be flexible, but reserve the right to decide what constitutes a nitpick.
